Deputies Help Battle Inferno

Jones County Sheriff's Department deputies Bradley Boyd, LaDean Byrd, James "Peaches" Smith and Reagan Smith (a.k.a. Baby Shark) teamed up with the first arriving fire engine from Glade Fire & Rescue to help battle a raging house fire on Pecan Grove Road on Thursday, June 17, 2021. They stayed engaged in the fire attack until additional fire units arrived on the scene from Johnson, M&M, Powers and Ovett fire departments.
Our JCSD team understands what public service means and do whatever it takes to help others in need. That's what you will see in these photos and on the streets every day.
A big shoutout to the volunteer firefighters on the fire scene. We give each other plenty of grief about the different jobs we do, but your crews rocked on fire attack and fire suppression!
