Deputies Assigned To School Zones

During this first term as your Sheriff, we have added deputies to all Jones County Elementary Schools during the morning car line drop off. I want you to know that as long as I am your Sheriff, we will continue to do this. Although I wish there was a way for our deputies to be there during the entire school day, it's not feasible with our budget.
I know some are promising this to come, but it's not possible without over a million dollar budget increase. By adding deputies during the morning time, we can ensure that no one enters the school buildings illegally and protect our children as they are going in to the schools.
