Dangerous heat stress is expected Saturday, with the most oppressive heat expected along and west of the Interstate 55 corridor. Peak heat index values will be between 105-110F, while near 105F to the east. Heat exhaustion will be increasingly likely with prolonged outdoor activity. Make sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks if outdoors.
