Fire Ruled Arson, Reward Offered

The Jones County Sheriff's Department and Mississippi State Fire Marshal's Office conducted an investigation into a suspicious structure fire at 24 Scoggins Drive in the Pendorf Community yesterday.

The investigation determined the cause of the fire to be Arson. JCSD Fire Investigator Sgt. J.D. Carter advises that a $5,000.00 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this crime of Arson is being offered by the State Fire Marshal's Office. The home sustained heavy damage in the blaze.
